These next several photos illustrate a hat-mounting process that Emily developed for a travelling exhibition which involved 7 international lending institutions which provided their own ethafoam hat inserts at installation. The process needed to be flexible enough to accommodate slight differences between lenders' hat mounting techniques, and straightforward enough to be executed without a mountmaker on site.
